Urban Forest
The Story
Urban Forest opened June 1, 2019 in Spanish Fork, situated along the river corridor amidst mature cottonwood trees. The course was designed to take advantage of the natural wooded terrain, offering a mix of open and tight fairways.
In 2023, a pipeline construction project ran through the course area but all 18 holes remained playable throughout, maintaining continuity for local players.
A major renovation began in April 2026 with new Discraft Chainstar Pro baskets installed across all holes. The renovation includes a redesigned layout — holes 9, 10, and 11 are being replaced with three new holes, several existing holes are being adjusted, and all holes will be renumbered with improved flow. Additional pin positions and tee pads are planned. The course features multiple mandos (holes 4, 5, 10, 12, 17, and 18) with drop zones for missed mandos.

What Players Say
One of the better courses I have played in Utah. Plenty of large trees and shot shaping opportunities throughout the course. Good teepads, fun mandos, and shady cottonwoods to play under. This is one course I will be coming back to.
Fun little town course that would be much improved with mowing the grass which is knee high in spots but overall a fun little course.
Urban is a great course with some shot variety. It doesn't have much distance but it can make for some fun casual rounds or glow rounds!
This is a fun course with a good amount of variety and challenge.
Fun course! Good variety of shots. Pretty. Basically a Utah course.
Maintenance
Course maintenance is community-driven, with local volunteers managing upkeep. Tanner Michelsen serves as the primary course contact. Mowing can be inconsistent — reviewers note the course plays best in spring and fall, with summer bringing overgrowth in some fairways. The 2026 renovation includes a volcano green feature on hole 3 and general course cleanup.
